EXPERIENCE

A lifelong practicing artist, I have been an arts career specialist for 15 years. I have led Career Services at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles and have held positions in career services at the School of Visual Arts, Parsons School of Design, and The New School, all in New York City. Recently, I served as the Director of Curricular and Academic Planning at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I’ve been faculty in both studio art and professional practices and have taught at the School of Visual Arts’ MFA Fine Arts and MFA Visual Narrative programs, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and the City University of New York. I received my MFA in Photography and Related Media from Parsons School of Design, an MPS in Digital Photography from the School of Visual Arts, and my BFA in Fine Arts from SMFA at Tufts University. I am a trained Fulbright Program Advisor, and participated in the FPA Development Program through the Institute for International Education in New York City and Washington, D.C. I had the pleasure of launching Fulbright at the School of Visual Arts and making SVA a Top Producing Institution in Fulbright.

Currently, I serve as Co-Chair of the Services to Artists Committee for the College Art Association, and I recently presented arts career sessions at CAA and the AICAD Symposium. I am a member of ArtTable and the Common Field Network. Though an Ohio native, I’m a New Yorker at heart and a now a Chicago transplant, where my husband, two wild children and I happily now call home.
